About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform initial orthopedic telehealth visits including but not limited to diagnosis, ordering imaging, and referring patients for in person care when appropriate.
- Perform in office injections 2-3 days per week
- Build trust with patients through empathy, knowledge, experience, and shared decision making
- Communicate and collaborate with physical therapists, physicians, and other members of the Icon clinical team
- Create the patient’s personalized treatment plan and along with your dedicated care coordinator, determine next steps and navigate the patient through the journey
- Participate in Icon product enhancement through feedback on the current technology platform
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 5 years as a PA practicing in outpatient orthopedics with experience in multiple subspecialties
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage patients in an empathetic manner
- Comfortable learning and utilizing several technology and telehealth platforms
