About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support ESH Compliance: Attend monthly safety meeting and complete all regulatory ESH&T requirements
  • Follow all plant safety rules and procedures
  • Follow plant emergency procedures
  • Comply with the requirements of the ICL Lawrence Quality system
  • Must successfully complete RCRA introductory/orientation training
  • Must successfully complete RCRA annual refresher training
  • Potential RCRA responsibilities: Inspect RCRA waste storage areas
  • Safely operate hazardous waste equipment and/or processes
  • Ensure that hazardous waste manifest and documentation requirements are met
  • Respond to hazardous waste incidents and notify proper authorities
  • Maintain equipment associated with hazardous waste management
  • Operations personnel must successfully demonstrate and document hazardous waste qualifications upon completion of on-the-job training
  • Perform job safely, in an environmentally sound manner and in accordance with all cGMP requirement
  • Check and adjust feed liquor specific gravity
  • Operate furnace burners, level, temperature controls
  • Pump feed liquor to furnace and control flow
  • Operate auxiliary equipment, including, but not limited to chill wheel, elevator, Buffalo mills, hammer mill, hummer screen, Rotex screener, dust collector, baggers, cooling tower, product scalping screeners
  • Package SHMP product in heat sealed bags, supersacks and drums
  • Palletize bags and take to storage or load trailer with fork truck
  • Label bags with batch numbers and product codes
  • Operate and monitor furnace jacket water system
  • Make product changes as required
  • Operate SHMP area sump pump(s)
  • Ensure that production and housekeeping in assigned area meet cGMP standards
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety system requirements
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and monitoring of equipment
  • Complete other job responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Must successfully complete new employee orientation and all job specific training
  • Must be a trained and certified fork truck operator
  • Must be able to safely exit the plant in case of an emergency
