About the role
- Analyze and improve the melting, pelletizing and granulation stages to increase productivity (OEE) and reduce energy and raw material consumption.
- Monitor and stabilize operational parameters, identifying deviations and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead initiatives to mitigate risks inherent to sulfur handling and ensure fertilizers meet technical specifications.
- Lead improvement projects using the DMAIC methodology, focusing on reducing waste and variability.
- Support operations and maintenance teams in troubleshooting complex processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Production/Industrial Engineering or related fields.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (proficient in the DMAIC cycle).
- Experience in process stabilization and analysis of critical variables (statistics applied to the process).
- Intermediate English (technical reading and basic communication).
- Previous experience in the fertilizer industry or in granulation and melting processes.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (Minitab, Power BI or similar).
- Knowledge of safety standards specific to sulfur handling.
