Plan, design, and execute data migration strategies from legacy systems to new platforms (on-premise, cloud, or hybrid).
Work closely with government stakeholders, project managers, database administrators, and developers to ensure successful data transitions.
Analyze legacy data structures and perform data mapping and transformation based on target system requirements.
Develop and implement data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance processes.
Create detailed migration documentation, including data flow diagrams, data dictionaries, and test plans.
Troubleshoot migration issues and ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
Comply with government data security standards, compliance frameworks (e.g., FISMA, NIST), and privacy regulations.
Provide status reports, progress updates, and support post-migration activities including audits and validations.
Requirements
U.S. Citizenship or a Green Card is required due to federal contract requirements
Candidate must reside in the U.S., be authorized to work in the U.S., and all work must be performed in the U.S.
Candidate must have lived in the U.S. for three (3) full years out of the last five (5) years.
Candidate must currently have or be able to obtain a public trust clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
8+ years of experience, leading 3+ enterprise migrations across ≥ 3 data sources, with financial reconciliation, metadata/lineage tooling, and privacy/records experience.
