Key responsibilities & impact

Assist senior archaeologists primarily in fieldwork, including survey, testing, evaluation, data recovery, and construction monitoring
Conduct laboratory analysis and background research as assigned
Assist with report preparation and other tasks as needed
Travel for up to 10 days may be involved
Work outdoors under all weather conditions

Requirements

What you’ll need

1+ years of field experience in archaeological monitoring and survey
Must have valid driver's license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with ICF senior staff and construction personnel
Knowledge and familiarity with computers and smart devices is critical
Background in precontact or historic-period archaeology is required
Ability to conduct field visits at locations throughout Southern California
Active 40-hour HAZWOPER training
Experience working with and communicating with construction crews
