About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collate information related to power markets and convert it to actionable knowledge especially for modelling.
- Create and improvise energy market models especially for SCED and power flow analytics.
- Analyze and generate market usable insights from the modelling.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers and energy experts, to design practical solutions.
- Convert complex insights into clear recommendations for non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Energy Systems, Electrical Engineering, Operations Research or a related field.
- Programming skills in Python, R, Julia or similar languages is a must.
- Exposure to PyPSA or similar tools for power systems modelling strongly preferred.
- Good understanding of optimization framework and exposure to tools such as Pyomo and solvers such as HiGHS, Gurobi etc is highly preferred.
- Understanding of Power Markets is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of US power markets is an added bonus but not necessary.
- Machine learning skills are a plus but not necessary.
