About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Developing and maintaining strong, collegial relationships with state education agencies (SEAs) and other clients to provide high-quality, relevant, and useful capacity-building technical assistance
  • Conducting needs assessments, developing and delivering technical assistance that clearly addresses client needs, monitoring and course correcting technical assistance as needed, coordinating with project evaluators to curate evidence, and liaising with clients
  • Leading and coordinating TA teams to ensure the provision of high-quality services to clients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Doctorate in education, social sciences, public administration, or related subjects
  • 10+ years of experience at the state and/or national level working with K-12 education policies, regulations, and systems
  • 10+ years of experience developing and delivering technical assistance to state and district educators and leaders
  • 10+ years of conducting needs assessments and developing and deliver technical assistance that clearly addresses client needs, monitor and course correct technical assistance as needed
  • 10+ years developing high quality technical assistance materials, including information briefs, white papers, tools, presentations, and processes
  • 1+ years of experience working with multiple states in the region (VA, TN, KY, or WV) developing and implementing initiatives
  • 5+ years of experience directing or managing large-scale federal grants or contracts
  • 3+ years of managing teams of up to 40 including SUBs with personnel management responsibilities
