About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the CYP program
  • Maintain and support the current Angular+Java+SQL Server implementation
  • Design, implement, and migrate to a modernized React+Java+PostgreSQL architecture
  • Migrate an on-premise infrastructure to the cloud
  • Work in a full life-cycle software engineering project environment
  • Conduct thorough code reviews, implement unit and integration tests, and ensure code quality
  • Foster asynchronous communication approaches and thrive in a remote working environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8+ years of experience in full-stack software engineering
  • Strong understanding of best practices, design patterns, clean code, and unit/integration testing
  • 8+ years of experience with Java development
  • 8+ years of experience using relational databases
  • 5+ years of experience in Frontend development with frameworks such as Angular or React
  • 4+ years of experience working with REST APIs
  • 4+ years of experience with JPA, Hibernate, or equivalent ORM technologies
  • 5+ years of experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Greencard holder) due to federal contract requirements.
