About the role
- Perform complex GIS analysis to develop client-focused outputs, maps, and dashboards that integrate data relevant to infrastructure and community resilience
- Evaluate and integrate spatial data from various infrastructure, transportation, and hazard data sources and data types (geodatabases, web services, raster and image files) using ETL processes
- Design, build, deploy, and maintain web-based geospatial applications using custom and off-the-shelf mapping tools
- Apply understanding of cross-domain planning and land use considerations to support clients in transportation, disaster recovery, climate resilience, and energy
- Work directly with clients and ICF subject matter experts to translate business needs into data analysis requirements
- Lead development of processes and procedures for data collection, management, processing, and dissemination
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science, Environmental Science, Geography, Urban Planning, Engineering, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience performing complex GIS analysis involving infrastructure and/or multi-hazard datasets
- 2+ years of experience working with Esri’s suite of desktop and web GIS tools (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
- MUST RESIDE IN THE United States and the work MUST BE PERFORMED in the United States
- Must be a US Citizen per federal contract requirements
- Understanding of concepts and software tools for analyzing and visualizing GIS and remote sensing data
- Familiarity with automating data pipelines using open source (Python or R) and cloud-native (AWS, Azure) tools
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills and desire to take initiative
