About the role
- Help to build a world-class flight computer for spaceborne SAR
- Develop user space application software
- Work on all other aspects of an embedded Linux system
- Using best engineering practices to deliver correct, efficient, and maintainable code
- Troubleshooting systems that aren’t working properly and finding scalable solutions
- Keep the big picture in mind while focusing on the details
- Managing software packages and hardware devices, init systems, file systems, IPC, networking, monitoring, etc in Unix-like systems
Requirements
- Proficiency in C, Python, and shell scripting
- Proven track record of building commercially successful embedded Linux software
- Experience with Buildroot and Yocto
- Proficiency in Unix-like systems, experience managing software packages and hardware devices
- Experience configuring and managing build systems and implementing CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
- Expertise in Linux kernel space (Preferred)
- Experience with other Unix-derived systems (Preferred)
- Familiarity with Docker or similar tools (Preferred)
- Experience building or contributing to open-source projects (Preferred)
- Proficiency in additional programming languages (Preferred)
- Ability to read and review electronic schematics (Preferred)
