About the role
- Participate in architecting, designing, and implementing cutting-edge network infrastructure
- Plan and build new network solutions for new business locations and evolving requirements
- Maintain and patch current network infrastructure and lead development of new processes
- Handle operational tasks such as implementing tickets and operating firewalls
- Troubleshoot both wireless and wired network environments to ensure reliable connectivity
- Proactively optimize network design and enhance operational efficiency
- Lead development and refinement of network processes and documentation to ensure clarity and consistency
- Act as a cornerstone of the IT infrastructure team, architecting networks that connect global operations; collaborate and support colleagues, ensuring projects are well-documented and integrated
Requirements
- CCNP or equivalent knowledge with 5+ years of experience in routing and switching within an enterprise or service provider environment
- Proven experience with firewalls; strong expertise in Palo Alto technology highly advantageous
- In-depth understanding of communication protocols, especially TCP/IP, and routing protocols like BGP and OSPF
- Familiarity with access control models and robust network security practices
- Knowledge of a coding language for scripting, such as Python or Perl
- Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds)
- Solid understanding of network device operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS)
- Demonstrable understanding of network design best practices
- Preferred: experience with SASE architecture, particularly Palo Alto Prisma Access
- Preferred: experience in scoping and planning network infrastructure implementations and migrations
- Preferred: experience with networking in public cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Preferred: broader experience with IT infrastructure
- Preferred: experience with wireless network technologies
