About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Business analysis and software requirements specification
  • Gather and analyze the needs of operational teams.
  • Translate business needs into clear software requirements (functional and non-functional) that are actionable for developers and architects.
  • Facilitate workshops and map current and target processes.
  • Produce functional documentation: use cases, BPMN and UML diagrams, and wireframes.
  • Project leadership
  • Own the management (scope, timelines, dependencies) of technology initiatives from ideation to delivery, ensuring continuity between the business need and the deployed solution.
  • Act as the single point of contact for the business unit: define the mandate with managers and directors, draft the project brief, and proactively communicate progress through relevant team channels.
  • Actively engage stakeholders across departments throughout the project, from requirements definition to adoption, and escalate any blockers that affect the schedule, such as awaiting architectural approval.
  • Software delivery
  • Collaborate with development teams.
  • Contribute to the creation of test scenarios.
  • Participate in quality assurance, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Assess the impact of changes on processes and systems, and contribute to release planning.
  • Solution evaluation and proofs of concept (POC)
  • Compare third-party solutions against functional and technical criteria.
  • Coordinate POCs with the software development team and vendors.
  • Recommend adoption, customization, or rejection of a solution.
  • Determine whether a request should be addressed through configuration, automation, or development.
  • Change management
  • Support planning of change and training activities.
  • Train users and support adoption of new solutions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • University degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in business analysis and defining software requirements.
  • Experience in project management or coordination (planning, stakeholder follow-up, dependency and schedule management).
  • Experience with Agile teams (Scrum or Kanban) and practical knowledge of Azure DevOps or an equivalent backlog management tool (an asset).
  • Knowledge of BPMN and UML notation.
  • Fluency in French and English (spoken and written).
