Cloud Architect (Remote) Remote Full Time Experienced
Provide technical leadership in the design, deployment, and management of cloud-native architectures across AWS and other cloud platforms (Azure, GCP as applicable). Architect and implement secure, scalable, and cost-optimized cloud solutions that enhance developer productivity and align with mission-critical DoD requirements. Lead cloud modernization efforts leveraging Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab CI/CD to support DevSecOps ecosystem. Apply a "security-first" mindset by integrating zero-trust architectures, DISA STIGs, RMF controls, and other DoD compliance frameworks into all solutions. Support continuous delivery and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices to maintain resilient, high-performing systems. Collaborate with product teams, engineers, and mission partners to resolve technical challenges, optimize resources, and maintain thorough documentation of cloud solutions. Serve as a trusted advisor to government stakeholders, communicating complex solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to establishing standards, best practices, and knowledge-sharing across Platform One teams.
