About the role
- Assist the Senior Director in creating value for Avangrid Power
- Secure interconnection agreements and develop associated interconnection strategies
- Manage a portfolio of interconnection queue requests
- Manage the interconnection process from submittal to construction
- Coordinate with Avangrid Origination, Development, Asset Management, and Policy groups
- Research and secure interconnection options for greenfield wind or solar sites
- Coordinate siting of interconnection and transmission facilities
- Oversee/managing performance of technical screening studies to determine interconnection feasibility
- Review and coordinate execution of LGIP-related agreements
Requirements
- 3+ years in the independent generation development
- Technical background with electrical engineering
- Transmission and/or generation development expertise
- Good commercial experience
- Experience interfacing with TO and ISOs on generation interconnections
- Ability to travel and support site prospecting and/or project development activities
