About the role
- Lead the emergency preparedness groups Compliance, Documentation and After-Action Reporting programs.
- Ensures effective analysis of new requirement (legislative or regulatory) and development of project plans and compliance evidence to demonstrate adherence to existing and new requirements.
- Work with key leaders and stakeholders across the company on key issues, new projects, collection of evidence and information needed for proper documentation and reporting.
- Responsible for the development of programmatic and in-event compliance checklists, monitoring and reporting requirements.
- Manage After Action Reporting - Working with Emergency Operations staff to ensure quality and timely After-Action Reports following significant events.
- Lead emergency planning projects through creation and preparation of appropriate plans, procedures, SOPs and checklists for storms, emergencies and other risks/hazards.
- Prepare for and monitor compliance with regulatory requirements, creating systems for continuous improvement.
- Prepare reports on causes of events, damages, affected customers, restoration times, recovery plan and costs.
- Support department documentation and record keeping systems.
- Supports Rate Cases, as needed.
- Work as a member of the team ensuring appropriate training, drills and exercises.
- Responds to emergencies supporting the operating company Area and Incident Command System.
- Modify and update detailed action plans based on lessons learned.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree with 8 years relevant experience required.
- Experience working in a regulatory environment, tracking compliance and evidence and producing reporting.
- Demonstrated experience requiring advanced organizational, writing and project management skills.
- Utility and/or emergency management or similar experience preferred.
