About the role
- Work closely with the SFA director to develop and deliver a range of services to SFA and CSI members
- Operating an extremely busy telephone and e-mail helpline and one-to-one member meetings, on all aspects of running a business
- Provide specialist industrial relations, employment law and human resource support to members
- Keep abreast of employment law; industrial relations and human resource development
- Write for SFA/CSI publications, articles for media publications
- Assist with SFA/CSI membership development activities
- Contribute to membership retention activities
- Work as an effective team member in event management of the SFA/CSI events
- Maintenance of the SFA websites
Requirements
- Human Resource/Industrial Relations/Employment Law related qualification preferable
- Knowledge of Employment Law and its application especially in small businesses
- One to two years’ experience in HR related role
- A sound working knowledge of the Industrial relations institutions and trade union negotiations an advantage
- Strong advocacy and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate succinctly and utilise a range of communication methods
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
