About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary commercial contact for General Motors and other OEM customers
- Build strong relationships and act as a trusted partner across all program phases
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and profitability
- Identify new business opportunities and support expansion within key accounts
- Act as the central point of contact between the customer and internal teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality
- Manage all commercial aspects of the account including piece price, tooling, and contract negotiations
- Drive financial performance improvements across programs
- Lead commercial discussions for engineering changes and secure appropriate cost recovery or pricing adjustments
- Support new product launches to ensure successful execution, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction
- Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer strategies and provide recommendations on growth opportunities, partnerships, and process improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field required
- 5 to 8 years of experience in account management, sales, or program management within a Tier 1 automotive supplier
- Direct experience working with General Motors is strongly preferred
- Background in automotive interior systems such as instrument panels, door panels, or consoles is highly desired
- Proven experience with OEM purchasing processes, sourcing, and supply chain coordination
- Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience in pricing and negotiations
- Ability to understand manufacturing processes such as molding, stamping, and assembly
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for executive presentations
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
