About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as the primary commercial contact for General Motors and other OEM customers
  • Build strong relationships and act as a trusted partner across all program phases
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive revenue growth and profitability
  • Identify new business opportunities and support expansion within key accounts
  • Act as the central point of contact between the customer and internal teams including engineering, manufacturing, and quality
  • Manage all commercial aspects of the account including piece price, tooling, and contract negotiations
  • Drive financial performance improvements across programs
  • Lead commercial discussions for engineering changes and secure appropriate cost recovery or pricing adjustments
  • Support new product launches to ensure successful execution, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer strategies and provide recommendations on growth opportunities, partnerships, and process improvements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field required
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in account management, sales, or program management within a Tier 1 automotive supplier
  • Direct experience working with General Motors is strongly preferred
  • Background in automotive interior systems such as instrument panels, door panels, or consoles is highly desired
  • Proven experience with OEM purchasing processes, sourcing, and supply chain coordination
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen with experience in pricing and negotiations
  • Ability to understand manufacturing processes such as molding, stamping, and assembly
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for executive presentations
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
