About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Identify, design and develop a product/product family
Ensure production procedures efficiently utilize materials and personnel
Test finished product for quality purposes and recommended changes to product specifications as necessary
Receive and process changes required by clients
Develop the product from concept up to SOP for BTP or full development as FSS
Develop, uncover, characterize, and assess strategic new products and/or product extensions
Transform and adopt discoveries to ensure R&D activities maintain competitive position

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field
4–8+ years of experience in product engineering, with direct experience in a Tier 1 automotive or OEM manufacturing environment
Proficient in AIAG core tools including APQP, PPAP, FMEA (DFMEA/PFMEA), Control Plans, and SPC
Deep understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and CAD software (CATIA, NX, SolidWorks)
Specific expertise in IP, door panel, consoles
Experience with Teamcenter or similar PLM systems (preferred)
IATF 16949 auditor certification (preferred)
