About the role
- Support activities led by the Canadian Dealer Services division: Act as a primary point of contact with the business partner to support the achievement of their business objectives.
- Support the partner in understanding financial results and identifying improvement levers.
- Develop an in depth understanding of the business model to identify performance drivers and advise decision makers.
- Provide advisory support and collaborate on acquisition projects and other growth initiatives, strategic partnerships, and optimization efforts within the division.
- Monitor product profitability for the division and its subsidiaries and make appropriate recommendations.
- Approve new products, coverage changes and pricing adjustments for Canadian products.
- Oversee financial controls (expenses, staffing, dealer loans, benefits and costs) in alignment with CFO standards and practices.
- Support activities led by the corporate CFO teams: Ensure collaboration and alignment between the CFO value chains, the divisional team and subsidiaries.
- Oversee the production and analysis of financial information required for financial statements, financial projections, budgeting, ORSA, investor presentations and capital standards.
- Supervise the production of the Financial Health Review and the Appointed Actuary’s report for iAPG.
- Provide support for external audits or peer reviews.
- Build and develop a high performing team: Ensure alignment and consistency of team activities with best practices established by the CFO sector team and contribute to the development of expertise.
- Support the professional development of team members and foster skill enhancement.
- In collaboration with sector managers, ensure the maintenance and evolution of actuarial and accounting expertise within the team.
- Identify needs related to tools, systems, human resources and expertise to support all activities of Canadian Dealer Services and CFO teams.
Requirements
- Holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, actuarial science, accounting or another relevant discipline.
- Has a minimum of 10 years of experience leading a multidisciplinary team of experts.
- Has experience in dealer services and knowledge of the Canadian market (an asset).
- Is recognized as a strategic business partner with strong mobilizing and influential leadership.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with an ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships with stakeholders across all organizational levels in a collaborative spirit.
- Stands out through a proactive approach to identifying current and future needs.
- Is known for quickly understanding strategic issues.
- Has an advanced level of English, as this role requires daily communication and documentation with partners, colleagues and executive members.
