About the role

  • Lead the development of power steering systems for U.S. pickup trucks and off-road vehicles.
  • Create and refine complex 3D models and assemblies in CATIA V5.
  • Define steering system requirements and perform engineering analysis.
  • Plan and execute prototype development and testing.
  • Ensure all steering designs comply with relevant FMVSS and SAE regulations.
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers and other teams.

Requirements

  • 8–10 years of hands-on automotive design experience.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in chassis and suspension design, focusing on Power Steering Systems.
  • Familiarity with variable-assist steering mechanisms and steering dampers.
  • Proficiency in CAE tools (e.g. ANSYS, Nastran, MATLAB/Simulink).
  • In-depth understanding of vehicle ride & handling, off-road performance, and NVH considerations.
