Telemetry Field Engineer I-IV
Hyster-Yale Materials HandlingTelemetry Field Engineer responsible for system testing and commissioning for Hyster-Yale. Collaborating with teams to ensure smooth system deployment and technical support.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform factory testing, calibration, configuration, and safety verification to prepare systems for customer delivery
- Commission and validate systems at customer sites, including on-site testing, wireless communication surveys, and safety adjustments
- Troubleshoot and resolve electro-mechanical, electrical, software, and communication issues in factory and field environments
- Support customer acceptance testing during factory testing and on-site installation milestones
- Develop technical documentation and deliver hands-on training to operators and customer teams
- Collaborate with engineering, project, and customer teams to ensure safe, reliable, and timely system deployment
- Level I: Support senior field engineers with testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and documentation while building technical and field experience
- Level IV: Serve as the on-site technical lead, coordinating daily activities, mentoring junior engineers, and acting as the primary technical point of contact for the customer
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Associate’s degree with 1 year of relevant experience or 7 years of relevant industry experience in lieu of a degree
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience for Level II
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience for Level III
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience for Level IV
- Ability to troubleshoot electro-mechanical, electrical, and control systems
- Proficiency reading and interpreting electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and system documentation
- Working knowledge of Windows-based systems, device configuration, and basic networking concepts
- Experience with system commissioning, testing, calibration, and validation activities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
