About the role

  • Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD tools
  • Create design layouts, engineering drawings, and technical documentation for manufacturing
  • Order, build, and evaluate prototype parts; document findings and implement improvements
  • Support on-site production activities, including pilot builds and first-run manufacturing
  • Troubleshoot design or production issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve them
  • Manage project tasks, timelines, and deliverables to ensure accuracy and on-time completion
  • Participate in product reviews and provide engineering input that aligns with customer needs and performance requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Engineering
  • At least 3 years of industry experience in engineering, product development, or related fields
  • Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, or comparable)
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, drafting practices, and engineering analysis
  • Experience with prototype development, testing, and design validation
  • Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, and assembly
  • Familiarity with vehicle, equipment, or automotive systems is a plus
  • Ability to create, interpret, and maintain engineering drawings and specifications
