Operations

• Secure trucks for available loads using DAT, Truckstop, internal carrier networks, and relationship-based outreach
• Build and maintain a network of trusted, reliable carriers and drivers
• Match freight requirements with appropriate equipment types (dry van, reefer, flatbed, hotshot, etc.)
• Verify carrier credentials, safety ratings, insurance, and FMCSA compliance
• Negotiate competitive rates with carriers while protecting margin and service quality
• Communicate load details clearly and professionally to dispatchers and drivers
• Confirm appointments, transit expectations, and any special requirements
• Track shipments from pickup to delivery and provide timely updates to the brokerage team
• Maintain accurate load, carrier, and communication data within TMS and CRM systems
• Assist with check calls, POD collection, and issue resolution
• Support brokers in managing overflow freight and high-volume periods
• Strengthen carrier relationships to ensure consistent, repeat capacity
