Key responsibilities & impact

Achieve objectives by demonstrating a clear understanding of the business structure
Develop commodity strategies with a focus on mechanical and electrical components
Negotiate pricing and monitor performance of suppliers
Collaborate with key suppliers for improvements
Develop and negotiate contractual agreements for price protection
Engage suppliers to provide long-term solutions to quality issues

Requirements

What you’ll need

BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical components
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact with inter and intra departmental personnel, as well as management
Strong computer skills
Successful experience in negotiating with senior level managers
Demonstrated understanding of entire supply chain and cost drivers
Demonstrated data and financial analysis capability
Cross functional/organizational project management and facilitation skills (internal and external)
Demonstrated self-starter
