About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in 6-month rotations across different areas of the business
  • Ensure efficient manufacturing of parts supporting daily production
  • Define work methods for production areas and lead projects to improve product flow
  • Develop and integrate safety procedures, including lockout, job safety analysis, PPE, machine guarding, and ergonomics
  • Provide daily technical support and training for production teams on equipment programming, operation, and maintenance
  • Monitor quality metrics, identify trends, perform root cause analysis, and develop corrective action plans
  • Design tooling, fixtures, and workstations for new product introduction
  • Investigate and purchase new equipment and tooling
  • Contribute to equipment/process technology roadmaps and develop maintenance schedules
  • Create and maintain manufacturing process-control documents, including engineering changes, routings, bills of material, standard work, value stream maps, and quality data collection sheets
  • Use Lean and Six Sigma practices to improve quality, reduce costs, improve safety, and increase earnings

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred)
  • Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a passion for getting to the root cause of issues
  • Proactive and enthusiastic about implementing new technology and continuous improvement
  • Independently motivated and a collaborative team player
  • Proficiency in lean manufacturing
  • Proficiency in statistical analysis (Minitab)
  • Proficiency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks
  • Proficiency in value stream mapping (VSM)
  • Proficiency in design for manufacturability (DFM)
  • Proficiency in process failure mode effects analysis (pFMEA)
  • Proficiency in structured problem solving
  • Sponsorship of new applicants for employment authorization, or any other immigration-related support, is not available for this position
  • Six Sigma Green Belt Certification, Allen Bradley PLC programming and troubleshooting, automated assembly equipment, Power Apps, and new product introduction experience are preferred/differentiating qualifications
