About the role
- Identify, qualify, and engage potential B2B clients for corporate training and learnership programmes
- Conduct outbound prospecting (minimum 50 outbound activities per day: calls, emails, LinkedIn outreach)
- Identify and research key decision-makers (Heads of HR, L&D, CTOs, Founders) and initiate conversations
- Qualify inbound leads and assess fit for HyperionDev offerings
- Book qualified meetings for Account Executives and Sales team (target: 12 qualified meetings/week; 25/month)
- Maintain accurate records in CRM (Nutshell) and follow up to nurture leads through the sales pipeline
- Collaborate with sales team to develop and refine outreach strategies
- Conduct market research, track outreach performance and report on lead generation metrics
- Seek guidance from Head of Learnerships to ensure reporting aligns with objectives
- Contribute to pipeline growth targets and revenue impact metrics (R1,000,000+ pipeline/month; conversion and KPI targets)
Requirements
- 2+ year of experience in a sales, business development, or customer-facing role (B2B sales experience preferred)
- Knowledge of a sales process and how to move leads through a pipeline
- Experience in corporate training, learnerships, or education sales
- Proven ability to conduct cold outreach and initiate conversations with key stakeholders
- A strong and proven network
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a persuasive approach
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Nutshell) and sales engagement platforms (Apollo, Clay, Google scrap)
- Ability to know when to walk away from a deal
- A working knowledge of the tech industry sufficient to hold conversations about tech
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt in a fast-paced startup environment
- Preferred: Previous experience in a tech startup or EdTech company
- Preferred: Understanding of B-BBEE codes, education, and SETA framework
