About the role
- Architect and engineer AI-driven products from scratch, including specialised coding copilots within a proprietary IDE
- Design and implement LLM-based solutions and a data ingestion engine for unstructured insurance documents
- Own scoped features end-to-end from prototype to production, experiment and scale
- Lead and run high-leverage experiments and ship changes into production quickly
- Collaborate across hx teams to shape roadmap and contribute to architectural decisions
- Onboard quickly, ship meaningful contributions within first month, take ownership of features by month two, and shape roadmap by month three
- Work in a small, startup-like AI team applying state-of-the-art models to solve insurance problems
Requirements
- Extensive experience developing and deploying production-grade ML and AI systems at scale in cloud environments
- Deep Python expertise (PyTorch, Hugging Face)
- Experience with distributed systems and modern MLOps best practices
- Hands-on experience with LLMs in production (bonus)
- Familiarity with regulated domains (insurance, fintech) (bonus)
- Open-source contributions, writing, or public talks (bonus)
- Strong communication skills
- Self-starter mindset and ability to own projects end-to-end
- Comfortable with hybrid work and being in office 2-3 days per week
- Does not require visa sponsorship (company cannot support visa sponsorship)
- Willing to undergo background checks
- Understanding of AI (application question)
