About the role
- Establish the vision and strategy for cloud products and drive requirements across product teams to ensure operational readiness
- Oversee cloud platform infrastructure including CI/CD pipelines, developer portals, performance monitoring, and cost management tools
- Define and evolve the platform strategy that enables efficient product development, deployment, and operations
- Drive developer productivity and efficiency through modern tooling, automation, and platform capabilities
- Bridge product development teams and cloud operations to ensure unified execution on cloud customer priorities
- Translate cloud operations requirements and customer pain points into product features that product teams deliver
- Lead development of self-service admin tools, dashboards, and monitoring capabilities that reduce support dependencies
- Oversee technical roadmap planning including competitive analysis, architectural assessments, and operational impact evaluation
- Monitor and report on platform performance, developer productivity metrics, and operational efficiency
- Evangelize a product management culture that considers operational impact and customer self-sufficiency
- Build and mentor a high-performing product management team focused on cloud solutions
Requirements
- Prior experience as an Engineering leader required - this is a deeply technical role requiring credibility to work head-to-head with Cloud Engineering leaders, architects, and developers
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or technical field, or equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of demonstrated exceptional performance in product management with 5+ years in senior or director-level roles
- 8+ years of experience with cloud platforms and platform infrastructure
- Proven experience leading cloud platform products, developer tooling, or internal platform initiatives that produced quantifiable improvements in developer productivity, platform reliability, and operational efficiency
- Deep understanding of cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and platform engineering
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, developer portals, infrastructure as code, and internal developer tooling
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority across engineering, architecture, and cloud operations leadership
- Strong technical acumen and ability to engage in architectural discussions with engineering teams
- Experience with self-service platform design, monitoring tools, and operational efficiency automation
- Prior experience with Managed Service Providers is highly desirable
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to translate technical requirements into business value.
- Ability to travel up to 40%.
