About the role
- Act as the technical lead for complex customer engagements, applying extensive knowledge of solutions and/or vertical
- Lead customer pre-sales meetings, identify technical requirements, and formulate solution strategy
- Create a demonstration of the solution strategy, applying solutions knowledge, experience and best practice knowledge
- Present demonstration of proposed solution to key customer stakeholders for validation and buy-in
- Coordinate meeting with global services to transition key information; remain actively involved in process to ensure seamless transfer of customer
- Compose internal documentation that fully reflects all activity related to the solution strategy
- Provide technical responses for request for proposals (RFPs)
- Take proactive measures to identify and improve internal efficiencies and grow knowledge of the team; remain current on best practices and market trends
- Present at trade shows, conferences and events
- Work with development in support of solution enhancements
- Provide guidance to other team members
Requirements
- Significant experience in technical sales and relevant industry or technology
- Experience with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and software implementation methodologies
- Ability to simplify complex concepts and deliver engaging presentations.
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills - proven ability to gain trust and consensus
- Self-directed, organized and able to thrive in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment
- Speak or write with ease, clarity and impact, using a communication style appropriate to the subject and the audience
- Driven to learn and stay current with industry best practices
- Up to 60% travel time required
- Bachelor’s degree in related field, such as Management Information Systems or Computer Science
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job
