About the role
- Define and develop value propositions and product communication at the category, assortment, or product level within the Powered Garden Business Unit
- Analyze and interpret consumer and market insights to define value propositions and messaging for specific target audiences
- Understand consumer profiles, purchase decisions, and buying behavior for products
- Translate product-solution concepts and features into clear, consumer-focused messages/stories tailored to different target groups, with strong justification for purchase over competitors
- Brief, create, review, and approve all product toolkit assets in line with brand guidelines, including photography, videos, messaging, and packaging
- Build application and product expertise through hands-on product use
- Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Product Management, Brand & Marketing, external agencies, and other business units
- Understand competitor products, messaging, and value propositions
- Support internal sales resources and present at events such as go-live
- Collaborate closely with central and local Brand and Marketing teams to collect feedback and insights during the season
- Ensure all relevant product marketing information and data are available
Requirements
- Ideally a university degree in Marketing or a comparable field
- Strong experience in marketing or product communication in the consumer goods industry; gardening or DIY experience is an advantage
- Fluent in German and English
- Ability to interpret consumer insights and define a clear product value proposition
- Passion for hands-on product use and interest in gardening/DIY activities
- Customer-oriented — ability to tailor product communication to different user groups
- Ability to present and communicate complex topics simply at all levels
- High level of self-motivation, drive to succeed, and enjoyment of working in a team
- Excellent planning and multitasking skills
