About the role
- Establishes strong distributor, contractor, home builder, irrigation designer, landscape architect relationships and identifies new channel partners throughout assigned sales region, building plans to ensure success with these partners
- Responsible for the strategic annual sales and marketing plans, results, and reporting of sales
- Regularly reviews and provides interpretation of goals, objectives, and standards for operations to resolve problems and makes recommendations regarding policies, pathways, and procedures
- Monitors and evaluates operations, programs, processes and practices for quality and effectiveness and makes recommendations for improvement
- Acts as an expert in the functions, benefits, and application and methods of selling Hydro-Rain and associated brand products
- Maintains a regular budget report for the region
- Significantly drives demand for Hydro-Rain/Bond/B-hyve and Husqvarna products achieving annual sales and profitability targets
- Analyzes the market in relation to market share, current opportunities and key accounts and implements a strategic plan to reach sales targets and increase market share
- Attends and manages Husqvarna Water activity at distributor open houses, trade show events
- Develops and participates in contractor events, distributor events and industry tradeshows
- Assists marketing in the identification and development of new and existing product needs
- Reports results regularly to the National Sales Manager with additional special reports including annual sales plan, sales activity and results, forecasting, budget preparation and review
- Has responsibility for key distributor account management and the Contractor Advantage Program within the sales region
- Ensures that all customer service levels are met
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in external sales in the Green Industry
- Minimum 3 years of experience managing the work of others
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Preference given to individuals fluent in Spanish
- Moderate travel is required
