About the role
- Technical lead for product development projects and special assignments
- Drive concept development for light compaction products
- Ensure technical development is structured with clear responsibilities in the team
- Work on assignments across advanced engineering and product development towards industrialization
- Proactively contribute to technology and innovation roadmaps
- Coach and develop a project team of 2–5 engineers (mechatronics, mechanical, NVH, testing and verification)
- Collaborate closely with Light Compaction Engineering Hub in Bulgaria and other global teams
- Report functionally to the R&D Manager Light Compaction in Jonsered
- Be hands‑on in engineering workshops when assembling and testing products
Requirements
- MSc or BSc in engineering
- >5 years relevant experience
- Senior experience in machine engineering including rotating parts and mechatronics
- Senior experience from concept design
- Several years of experience in mechanical design engineering
- Experience leading teams and delivering agreed content on time
- Trained in structured engineering processes (concept development, iterative design, platform and module engineering, 6sigma, value engineering)
- Experience with lean and agile product development
- Knowledge in Catia is a plus
- Ability to coach and develop engineers and build cross‑functional networks
- Creative, innovative, visionary with good analytical and structuring skills
- Hands‑on experience assembling and testing products in engineering workshops
