About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide second line advice and oversight to banks providing deposit and lending products to US consumers
Provide advice regarding new product and service development
Critically evaluate the business processes governing and organizational structure around the Compliance functions for a variety of banks and fintechs
Review compliance management systems (CMS) for a variety of banks and fintechs
Review, revise, and write compliance-related policies and procedures for a variety of banks and fintechs
Monitor compliance with consumer banking regulations including fair lending regulations and issue and complaint management

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree
Minimum 5-10 years of experience within consumer banking, preferably at an entity subject to CFPB supervision
Experience in a consumer compliance position supporting financial products at a regulated financial institution
Extensive knowledge of banking regulatory compliance management system (CMS) elements, with product advisory and/or monitoring experience desirable
Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong research, project management, organizational, analytical and problem resolution skills
Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager designation or Bank Examiner experience is a plus
