About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide second line advice and oversight to banks providing deposit and lending products to US consumers
- Provide advice regarding new product and service development
- Critically evaluate the business processes governing and organizational structure around the Compliance functions for a variety of banks and fintechs
- Review compliance management systems (CMS) for a variety of banks and fintechs
- Review, revise, and write compliance-related policies and procedures for a variety of banks and fintechs
- Monitor compliance with consumer banking regulations including fair lending regulations and issue and complaint management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience within consumer banking, preferably at an entity subject to CFPB supervision
- Experience in a consumer compliance position supporting financial products at a regulated financial institution
- Extensive knowledge of banking regulatory compliance management system (CMS) elements, with product advisory and/or monitoring experience desirable
- Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong research, project management, organizational, analytical and problem resolution skills
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager designation or Bank Examiner experience is a plus
