Key responsibilities & impact

lead the design and delivery of cost accounting and service line margin engagements for hospitals and health systems
apply various costing methodologies including Time-Driven Costing (TDABC) and step-down methodologies
connect cost intelligence directly to high-stakes client decisions
play an integral role in decision support offering
partner with project and relationship leaders in client interactions with CFO and VP Finance stakeholders
contribute to the development of reusable engagement playbooks and delivery templates

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of experience in healthcare finance consulting or healthcare provider finance, with direct responsibility for decision support, cost accounting, or service line financial analytics
2-3 years of hands-on experience with StrataJazz Decision Support or a comparable healthcare EPM / cost accounting platform
Demonstrated experience building and delivering service line margin analyses, service line P&Ls, or DRG-level cost models
Proven ability to lead consulting engagements or major workstreams
Experience translating complex cost and margin analyses into clear, decision-ready insights for finance leaders
Strong consulting toolkit, including client-ready deliverables, executive presentations, and financial models
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Demonstrated ability to coach and develop junior team members
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or CPA/MBA a plus
