About the role

  • Install, configure, and manage Oracle databases
  • Monitor and tune database performance using tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager
  • Implement access controls, security policies, compliance checks, and audits
  • Design and execute backup strategies, ensure data integrity and business continuity
  • Apply patches, upgrades, and manage storage and database growth
  • Resolve database issues, crashes, SQL errors, and collaborate with developers for fixes
  • Assist in schema design, query optimization, and best practices for development teams
  • Maintain SOPs, diagrams, and provide knowledge sharing to teams
  • Lead end-to-end database migration across on-prem and cloud environments
  • Work in shifts, including weekends/holidays as per business needs

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Oracle database concepts, architecture, and functionality
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL
  • Experience in performance tuning and backup/recovery methodologies
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and capacity to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration and technical support
  • Preferred certifications: Oracle Core DBA, Oracle Infrastructure, and Cloud & Autonomous Database.
