About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Streamline the data, analytics, and model development lifecycle by identifying pain points and resolving productivity barriers through automation
Develop automation solutions for data pipelines and model builds to create an unattended delivery pipeline
Collaborate with product development, architecture, data engineering, testing, development, operations, quality assurance, and security teams
Develop and improve automation solutions for containerized workloads on AWS EKS
Build automated testing solutions to reduce manual effort
Build automated environment provisioning solutions using AWS EKS and Terraform
Build automated feedback mechanisms to monitor model performance in production
Design and maintain AWS EKS infrastructure for ML model deployment, including containerization, resource optimization, OAuth 2.0, security posture management, and disaster recovery
Design and implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions for EKS workloads
Implement and maintain OAuth 2.0 authentication and authorization in Kubernetes environments
Troubleshoot complex production issues with cross-functional stakeholders
Prepare and present design and implementation documentation
Promote automation across the data management and analytics delivery organization
Lead, coach, and mentor team members
Ensure services meet business needs
Analyze technology trends and assess emerging technology impacts
Coach individuals and teams through change

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Economics or related fields, or equivalent relevant work experience
7+ years’ experience in automation engineering, software engineering, or related field
7+ years’ experience with one or more coding languages, CI/CD tools, and development platforms
3+ years’ hands-on experience with Kubernetes preferred
Experience with OAuth 2.0 authentication protocols and Kubernetes security best practices preferred
Kubernetes certification (CKAD or CKA) preferred
Experience with managed Kubernetes services preferred
Docker and vulnerability management of Docker images preferred
Experience with AWS EKS-specific services, Terraform, Helm charts, Kubernetes security, service mesh technologies, multi-environment clusters, backup and disaster recovery, Cilium, Prometheus, Grafana, and CloudWatch preferred
Experience developing CI/CD workflows and tools
Strong automation scripting skills
Experience in configuration management, test-driven development, and release management
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Experience with agile development and understanding of DataOps and ModelOps principles
Ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions
Flexibility, adaptability, and desire to learn new languages and technologies
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently across multiple tasks while meeting aggressive timelines
