About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the architectural design and development of Enterprise Data Warehouse applications.
Ensure applications meet business needs, performance standards, and security requirements.
Collaborate with tech leads, Enterprise Solution architects, and business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
Translate requirements into comprehensive architectural solutions.
Create and maintain architectural documentation, including system diagrams, technical specifications, and design patterns.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams.
Assist with code reviews, troubleshooting, and addressing technical challenges.
Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
Evaluate and recommend tools, frameworks, and technologies to improve data application efficiency and scalability.
Collaborate with Enterprise architects to align with overall technology strategy and standards.
Participate in cross-functional discussions to identify process optimization, system integration, and improved user experience opportunities.
Create and evolve the overall application architecture strategy.
Ensure alignment with the Huntington Target State Enterprise Architecture and its usage patterns within the development community.
Mentor technical delivery staff as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree
7+ years of experience in the software engineering field
5+ years of experience in application architecture, design, and development within the commercial banking or financial services domain
Proficiency in software architecture patterns, data warehousing, and cloud technologies such as AWS and Snowflake
Strong knowledge of security practices, data protection, and compliance standards relevant to the banking industry
Experience with Agile methodologies
Track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time
Strong organizational, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle and prioritize multiple priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interact effectively across all organizational levels
Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely to peers and leadership
