About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead and manage the Leveraged Finance – Execution platform
- Assist in setting policy and strategy
- Oversee workflow and develop/mentor team members
- Supervise team’s execution of financial sponsor and leveraged financing transactions
- Manage due diligence and underwriting activities for major clients
- Serve as senior escalation point for complex or high-profile transactions
- Oversee deal screening, credit approvals, and client onboarding
- Negotiate credit agreements and legal documentation
- Partner with various teams to deliver competitive financing solutions
- Work with Credit to manage portfolio credit risk
- Stay updated on market developments in sponsor financing
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 15 years of experience in Leveraged Finance
- Comprehensive understanding of leveraged finance markets and trends
- Experience in deal execution in time-sensitive situations
- Historical & projected financial analysis
- Risk identification & mitigation
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory landscape for leveraged and sponsor lending
- Demonstrated team leadership experience
- Proven track record of managing high performing teams
- Bachelor’s Degree; MBA or CFA preferred
- Registered Series 7, 63 and/or 79
