About the role
- Help the Head of Leveraged Finance Execution to build and manage the team
- assist in setting policy and strategy
- oversee workflow and develop/mentor team members
- Serve in player/coach role on the team
- advising on and assisting in the execution of deals
- Oversee the junior team members' execution of sponsor and leveraged financing transactions
- managing time critical due diligence and underwriting activities
- Activities include deal screening and structuring, credit approvals, negotiating credit agreements and other legal documentation
- Partner with the Capital Markets, Sponsor Coverage, and Investment Banking teams
- Coordinate with the Head of Leveraged Finance Execution Team, Credit Officer for Leveraged Lending
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 15 years professional experience in Leveraged Finance
- comprehensive understanding of leveraged finance markets and trends
- financial analysis
- risk evaluation
- legal and regulatory landscape
- Leveraged deal underwriting and execution experience
- expertise in senior bank financing
- working knowledge of other financing & capital structure alternatives such as 2nd lien, subordinated, unitranche, and high yield debt
- solid analytical and judgment skills
- deep experience evaluating and mitigating credit risk
- adept at understanding and negotiating complex credit agreements
- collaborative one-team approach
- proven ability to work across lines of business and product groups
