About the role
- Develop the right questions to ask and problems to be solved.
- Define the data necessary to build strategy, solve a problem, or make a recommendation.
- Learn about our data environment to source data and query large datasets across multiple databases.
- Analyze the results of queries to create meaningful insights.
- Effectively visualize and summarize work product for a variety of audiences.
- Present to and collaborate with stakeholders with a variety of backgrounds.
- Measure progress against business outcomes and compare tactical options.
- Design visuals to communicate options and recommendations to decision makers.
- KPIs & standard reporting delivered to Senior Bank leadership.
- Ownership over ad-hoc analysis/insights needed to grow Huntington’s Consumer & Small Business Deposit portfolios.
- Identify and lead opportunities to standardize across business lines and improve coding practices and analytical techniques.
- Establish and use analytics team best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Decision Sciences, Statistics, Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, or Engineering.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in data mining, programming, or statistical analysis.
- Strong knowledge and working experience in data manipulation tools such as SAS, SQL, R, or Python to query large databases and manipulate large datasets.
- Experience presenting analytical findings to a non-technical audience to guide business decision-making.
- Experience in Financial Services
- Tableau
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage a queue of deliverables & requests with minimum supervision.
- Strong communications skills; written and verbal.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent skills with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong knowledge about deposit products.
