About the role

  • Support and supervise our junior staff (interns, apprentices, dual-study students and working students) at the Eisenach, Weida and Hilmersdorf (Erzg.) locations, based at the Weida site
  • Conduct regular development discussions with junior staff and act as the designated contact person at the sites
  • Support the recruitment process, from marketing measures to hiring, in collaboration with the Head of Recruitment and company management
  • Assist department managers with employment contract correspondence
  • Organize and conduct school visits, trade fairs and information events
  • Communicate and collaborate with external bodies such as the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK), Chamber of Crafts (HWK), inter-company training centers, vocational schools and universities
  • Develop junior staff programs together with the Head of Apprenticeship/Training
  • Provide organizational and administrative support to the Head of Recruitment

Requirements

  • Completed commercial vocational training or comparable qualification
  • Further training as a certified HR specialist (Personalfachkaufmann) or equivalent desirable
  • Trainer qualification (Ausbildereignung, AdA certificate)
  • Professional experience as an HR advisor focusing on apprenticeship/training or junior staff, or in a comparable role desirable
  • Basic knowledge of employment law
  • Confident, friendly and approachable manner
  • Strong interest in (young) people and their development
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Independent and goal-oriented working style
  • Flexibility in working hours (including occasional weekend trade fairs)
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office applications
