About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and maintain financial models and projections from scratch in Excel for planning, forecasting, and decision-making
  • Analyze trends and drivers to explain what is happening and why
  • Evaluate results against plans and expectations and explain gaps clearly
  • Support corporate and non-labor expense planning and keep forecasts current
  • Own end-to-end financial planning and accounting for technology investments, including capitalization and amortization of internally developed software
  • Interpret three-statement financials and connect operating decisions to financial outcomes
  • Present structured findings and explain methodology to stakeholders
  • Partner with leaders across the business to support planning conversations
  • Use Adaptive, automation, and AI to improve financial work
  • Take ownership of scoped work, follow through, and escalate unfamiliar problems when appropriate

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in FP&A, finance, accounting, or a related analytical discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills, including building usable models from scratch
  • Working understanding of accounting, three-statement financials, and operating-to-financial flows
  • Ability to analyze trends and explain findings clearly with supporting evidence
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build trusted relationships and partner effectively across teams
  • Comfort working with ambiguous or incomplete data
  • Sound judgment about how to proceed or when to escalate
  • Openness to using AI and technology in financial modeling and analysis
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Must work from a location within the United States with consistent Internet service
  • Full attention required during scheduled work hours; overlapping work or job stacking is not allowed
  • Must be on camera during training and when needed during the workday after training
  • Nice to have: exposure to capitalization and amortization of technology costs or internally developed software
  • Nice to have: experience with Adaptive or similar planning platforms, SQL, Tableau, or Power BI
  • Nice to have: startup or rapidly growing environment experience
