About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and scale a multidisciplinary engineering team across full-stack, data engineering, and business intelligence
  • Directly manage engineers across multiple disciplines
  • Drive goal-setting, performance check-ins, reviews, and performance improvement plans
  • Partner with recruiting to attract, hire, and onboard engineering talent
  • Build a culture of psychological safety, continuous feedback, and accountability
  • Identify growth opportunities and create individualized development plans
  • Provide technical direction across C#/.NET backend services, SQL data models, and Vue 3 frontend applications
  • Oversee data engineering pipeline design, delivery, reliability, orchestration, and data quality
  • Guide Power BI semantic model and dashboard standards
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews
  • Champion code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, and observability
  • Own roadmap execution in partnership with Product and Design
  • Remove blockers, manage dependencies, and establish predictable agile delivery rhythms
  • Track and communicate progress, risks, and trade-offs
  • Drive improvements in team velocity, quality, and developer experience
  • Serve as engineering point of contact for Product, Data, and Clinical Operations
  • Translate business and clinical requirements into technical scope and feasibility assessments
  • Partner with engineering leadership on organization-wide standards, tooling, and planning

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • At least 2 years in an engineering management or team lead role
  • Experience hiring engineers and conducting full-cycle technical interviews
  • Proven performance development experience, including feedback, performance management, and engineer growth
  • Hands-on experience with C#/.NET and SQL
  • Experience leading or closely partnering with data engineering teams, including pipelines, warehousing, and orchestration
  • Familiarity with Power BI or comparable BI platforms at a team-management level
  • Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks; Vue 3 or equivalent React/Angular experience is sufficient
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Preferred: experience in healthcare, health-tech, or regulated industries
  • Preferred: familiarity with FHIR, HL7, or healthcare data standards
  • Preferred: cloud data platform experience such as Azure Synapse, Databricks, or Snowflake
  • Preferred: exposure to dbt, Apache Airflow, or similar orchestration tools
  • Preferred: engineering culture initiative experience, including leveling frameworks, interview training, or onboarding programs
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
  • Must disclose whether employment visa sponsorship is currently or later required
