About the role

  • Data-focused Business Analyst designing and developing BI reports and analytics solutions to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate business requirements into actionable insights.
  • Maintain and monitor analytics systems to ensure high availability and timely data delivery.
  • Gather business reporting requirements from stakeholders to build effective data solutions and insights.
  • Develop comprehensive user stories and profiles to guide analytics solutions.
  • Design, test, and implement Power BI dashboards and scripts for data analysis and visualization.
  • Schedule and automate processes for updating datasets and distributing reports.
  • Build and manage data repositories for both existing and new data sources.
  • Create intuitive data visualizations that enhance understanding and user experience.
  • Collaborate to evaluate and recommend BI tools and troubleshoot data issues with Engineering to improve data structures and flows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school or university.
  • Minimum of 3 years of BI-related experience.
  • 2+ years of experience developing Power BI dashboards, including designing data models, creating ETL queries/pipelines/data transformations, creating DAX measures, and building user-friendly dashboards.
  • Hands-on experience transforming complex transactional data sets into incrementally loading analytical models.
  • Strong SQL programming and Excel skills.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable reports, charts, and visualizations.
  • Ability to gather requirements from end users, prioritize, and design fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects independently.
  • Preferred: Experience with healthcare clinical and/or rev cycle data sets.
  • Preferred: Experience writing queries with the Caboodle data model.
