About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure clients are compliant with employment law, benefits and record keeping
- Maintaining employee records, including new hire set up, I9 validation, all employee changes while ensuring compliance with local, state and federal legislation
- Assistance in coordination of benefits enrollments for companies
- Track training for all clients assigned
- Maintaining and administering human resources plans and procedures that relate to company personnel
- Upholding and enforcing company policies
- Creating and revising job descriptions
- Performs benefits administration, including change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees
- Develops and maintains all governmental reporting, including ACA and Unemployment Insurance
- Conducting new employee orientations and employee relations counseling
- Ensure healthy onboarding and performance management
- Overseeing and conducting exit interviews
- Maintaining company directory and other organizational charts
- Recommending new policies, approaches, and procedures
- Practical knowledge of workers comp, FMLA, ADA
- Participates in other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field or certified HR professional preferred
- Military experience a plus
- 1+ years’ experience in Human Resources required
- Competent user of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, HubSpot preferred
- Experience working in an HRIS system preferred
- Strong level of confidentiality
- Organized and detail oriented
- Analysis and reporting skills a plus
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and follow through
