About the role
- Responsible leadership position managing a team of 10 employees
- Conceptual, organizational, personnel and financial responsibility for the Finance department
- Continued management of the change process and oversight of the digitalization of the finance function
- Support for the implementation of an electronic document management system
- Advise and support department management on strategic issues, financial planning and value creation
- Cost calculations for grant-funded projects
- Bank correspondence, liquidity tracking and investment planning
- Coordination and negotiation with financial service providers
- Coordination of the internal preparation of the annual financial statements
- Evaluation and modernization of organization-wide financial processes, policies and general procedures
Requirements
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Public Administration or Finance with a focus on cost accounting/controlling/financial management
- At least 5 years' professional experience in financial management, consulting or controlling
- Excellent skills in MS Excel (PivotTables) or other controlling and planning software
- Experience in digitalization projects and change management
- Very good knowledge of at least one common accounting software (ideally Sage100 or DATEV)
- Solid knowledge of commercial and tax law; experience with grant law (Zuwendungsrecht) is an advantage
