About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Enable patients to remain in their homes by providing health and personal services
- Assess and record patient conditions by monitoring vital signs
- Administer treatments, including dispensing medications, changing bandages, and administering oxygen supply and equipment
- Teach patients and family members assisted living techniques, including use of mobility aids and special utensils
- Teach personal hygiene techniques and appropriate methods for lifting, turning, and repositioning patients
- Interpret varied work assignments and independently determine appropriate courses of action
- Follow established guidelines and procedures while working with minimal direction
- Support Humana's patient-focused, post-acute care model through home health services
Requirements
What you’ll need- Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida
- CPR certification
- OSHA Certificate
- HIV/AIDS Certificate
- HIPAA Certificate
- Alzheimer's Certificate
- Medical Errors Certificate
- Domestic Violence Certificate
- Required tuberculosis screening as part of Humana's TB screening program
- Valid in-state driver's license
- Current vehicle registration and insurance
- Driving record with no more than 2 points within the last 3 years
- Personal vehicle liability insurance with minimum limits of 100,000/300,000/100,000
- Ability to provide home health and personal services to patients
- Scheduled weekly hours: 1
