Key responsibilities & impact

Analyze and forecast financial, economic, and other data for strategic and operational decisions
Establish metrics and provide data analyses supporting business intelligence
Evaluate industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast short-, medium-, and long-term financial and competitive position
Support the design, implementation, and management of complex value-based care initiatives
Focus on contracting, implementation, data analysis, and actuarial modeling of value-based care performance expectations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align value-based care objectives with organizational goals
Develop and execute processes and controls to ensure data integrity and proper data flow
Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and issues
Troubleshoot problems, conduct root cause analysis, and develop cost-effective resolutions for data anomalies
Determine technical approaches for project components and influence department strategy
Report to the Associate Director, Actuarial Analytics/Forecasting

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree
Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) designation
Ability to articulate ideas effectively in written and oral forms
MAAA and/or ability to issue Statements of Actuarial Opinion (preferred)
Proficiency in SAS, SQL, or Python (preferred)
Comfort communicating technical concepts to non-actuarial audiences (preferred)
Highly collaborative (preferred)
Knowledge of value-based contracts (preferred)
Knowledge of Medicare members, claims, and revenue (preferred)
Minimum dedicated workspace without ongoing interruptions to protect PHI/HIPAA information
Home internet service with at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed
Ability to travel occasionally to Humana offices for training or meetings
