About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support project leads on enterprise-wide strategic initiatives affecting Humana’s long-term growth and competitive positioning
Develop industry analyses and high-level financial or other business models
Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses, including financial modeling, market research, competitive assessments, expert interviews, and data analysis
Test hypotheses and validate assumptions
Synthesize findings into actionable insights, recommendations, and executive-level deliverables
Partner with stakeholders across the organization to gather information, test assumptions, and assess strategic opportunities and business risks
Develop executive-ready materials and presentations for senior executives, the Executive Leadership Team, and the Board of Directors
Evaluate growth, market expansion, partnership, acquisition, and innovation opportunities
Advise business leaders on strategic priorities and enterprise planning efforts
Collaborate with Corporate Strategy colleagues and contribute to an inclusive, supportive, high-performing team environment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree
2 years of consulting, strategy, or relevant corporate experience
Experience that is strategic in nature rather than primarily operational
Analytical skills, including quantitative analysis, research, and financial modeling
Conceptual skills, including translating ambiguous problems into structured frameworks
Ability to generate hypotheses independently and test them
Ability to synthesize complex information into digestible executive insights
Ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders
Preferred: meaningful experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, investment banking, or corporate development
Preferred: relevant healthcare experience, especially in the payer industry
