About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 3 Disease Management Team supports Pharmacists in Specialty Rx medication preparation by dispensing Specialty Rx medications.
Performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment.
May apply intermediate mathematical skills.
Supports inbound member and provider calls.
Contact physicians for prescriptions clarification and may enter prescription orders into the system.
Provide education and resources for new members demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Prioritize requests by interpreting and adapting to procedures, processes and techniques.
Exercise good judgement and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must have an active unrestricted State Board of Pharmacy Technician in the state of Arizona, Ohio or Texas without disciplinary action.
Must have National Certification: PTCB (CphT) or ExCPT
Minimum 1 year customer service experience working in a health services or pharmacy setting.
Basic Proficiency using the following Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
Knowledge navigating multiple systems and platforms with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve general technical difficulties in a remote environment.
Previous Specialty Pharmacy experience (Oncology, Neuromuscular, Pulmonary) Preferred
Bilingual English and Spanish - You may be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.
