About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- The Specialty Operations Pharmacy Technician 3 Disease Management Team supports Pharmacists in Specialty Rx medication preparation by dispensing Specialty Rx medications.
- Performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative and judgment.
- May apply intermediate mathematical skills.
- Supports inbound member and provider calls.
- Contact physicians for prescriptions clarification and may enter prescription orders into the system.
- Provide education and resources for new members demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Prioritize requests by interpreting and adapting to procedures, processes and techniques.
- Exercise good judgement and depth of knowledge of administrative processes and organizational knowledge.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have an active unrestricted State Board of Pharmacy Technician in the state of Arizona, Ohio or Texas without disciplinary action.
- Must have National Certification: PTCB (CphT) or ExCPT
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience working in a health services or pharmacy setting.
- Basic Proficiency using the following Microsoft Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Knowledge navigating multiple systems and platforms with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve general technical difficulties in a remote environment.
- Previous Specialty Pharmacy experience (Oncology, Neuromuscular, Pulmonary) Preferred
- Bilingual English and Spanish - You may be required to take the Interagency Language Rating (ILR) test as provided by the Federal Government.
